hello people! weeel i just noticed the last post was on sept 10th......frikin ages ago!!! sooo this post is for two reasons a) get my posting count on the rise b) see what kind of radio shows people listen too! ok, i listen to The Now Show, Dead Ringers (most radio 4 comedy actually) and tbh whatever im flicking through that has good music, maybe Zane Lowes radio 1 show, or dermot o'leary, it depends what they are playing, needless to say if it is Busted/McFly or Phill Collins then i swap over to something a bit "heavier".......or i just put on Pink Floyd later days peeps (oh, this is John btw ) EDIT: hmmmm, maybe this should be moved to the radio forum, yo admin!!! you have work to be doing! ADMIN EDIT: changed the title of the thread to something defining it's purpose.

Make not demands of the admin. He has mighty powers with which to smite thee. And likes to talk about himself in the third person.

Hello bear! and 3rd person Admin type person
Well I listen to Good Morning Scotland... I really enjoy hearing about the traffic jams in Glasgow and Edinburgh... but this week of course Portlethen and Newtonhill... just think of all those "captive" listeners :-) we are missing out on!
When I get fed up with the "every 10 minutes ... the same news item" I put on my CD's ....this week its Santana, The Black Crowes, AC-DC and Tom Petty...
I oftimes listen to "off the ball" and other fitba related stuff, Tom Morton and Janice Galloway. I can stand Northsound for about 30 seconds...
Thats it ...
perhaps I'll start a what music I am listening to thread ... and a Top Five ....

And the traffic jams continue....
You should see the trail of cars that come down the Netherley road at rush hour when there are roadworks on the A90. From my vantage point it's like the Christmas Coca-Cola advert with the long trail of lights!
Radio-wise I mostly listen to Mark Radcliffe on Radio 2. I sometimes listen to some Radio 2/Radio 4 comedy on that bbc radio player whatsit. And I occasionally tune into some Radio 3. On the odd occasion I have a look at BBC6 Music & BBC7.
Radio 1 & Northsound are just.... bleh.

I Have Decided! This thread I'll shift to the radio peoples section (which is where you should be seeing this now!). We can use it to talk about what types of radio we listen to, want to emulate on Mearns Community Radio (MCR henceforth for ease of typing!) etc. I'll start a new 'public' thread for all your current media watching/listening/reading needs in the Life, The Universe etc. section. For I am The Administrator. And I can. Bleh.

Hallo, all! This is my first post. I listen to the late show on London 94.9, but only when it's Charlie Jordan. For regular programmes, I mostly tune in to Radio 4 and 7 ('Dead Ringers', 'Sorry But I Haven't a Clue', 'In Our Time', books offered by Radio 7 [currently 'Daughter of Time'] and 'Doctor Who' audio episodes - which just finished for the year ). For music, I generally listen to Radio 2 and 3.

Hello jane! It may interest you to know that there will be more audio Who on BBC7 before the year is out! I've been using the online BBC Radio Player to listen to Saturday's interview with Kate Bush on Radio 2!

Huzzah for Who, but bother for Bush! I completely forgot about the interview ... Did our Kate say anything profound?

A nice smattering of BBC R2, R4 or R Scotland is good if I'm at home in the daytime....
Talk Sport through the night is quite interesting (when it isn't sport)...
..and Radio 10 & Arrow Classic Rock (1008 & 675 AM) are superb when in my car.
Radio Caroline and Radio London/Big L are also worth a listen on ASTRA... but thus lose their portability.

Radio Scotland, for about 15 Minutes in the morning, then it just repeats itself.... Try and catch Tom Morton when i can. Football stuff on Saturday.
Mostly listen to my iPod on shuffle these days.
:-)
